I'm a wonderwoman because I managed to get through nursing school with honors, passed my boards on the first try and with the smallest required # of questions, and landed my DREAM JOB as a Maternity Nurse!

Go Me!! :)

When DH and I went to Mexico I went PARASAILING!! It was a major thing for me cause I'm such a big chicken and have never done anything like that ever before. It was right off the beach and I went SO incredibly high! I was scared out of my mind but once up there looking way, way down it was amazing and I'm so glad I did it. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever done.

My greatest risk-taker was to quit my job and go back to school full time to become a computer engineer. I am now managing a construction office and use my computer skills to maintain our system. I was so afraid that I almost backed out at the last minute, but I stuck with my original decision and here I am.

I'm very proud of planning a month long trip for DH and myself to France, Italy, and Germany. I made all the travel arrangements myself and DH and I had a great time. We were over there in September 2001 and it was very strange being out of the country during and after 9/11. We both had very little language (french, german, italian)skills but found everyone very helpful and nice. It was a great experience. I'm glad we were there before the Euro went into circulation so we were able to keep some of the local money as soveniers. I look forward to planning our next trip to rent a villa in Italy hopefully in a couple of years with a toddler!

I always thought of myself as a shy person -- hate the spotlight unless I'm in a safe, comfortable environment with friends, never took chances or stuck my neck out with boys in high school, hated public speaking -- that kind of thing. But that's all changed. See, I love to write and ended up pursuing a career in advertising as a copywriter. I'm now working in a slightly less stressful environment as a writer in the communications dept of a company here in Toronto. Anyway, my biggest accomplishment is overcoming the shyness that I once worried would cripple me. I look back on who I was 10 years ago and hardly recognize the poor girl. I'm not afraid to talk to senior management types, I'm comfortable at meetings with clients I've never met, I stand my ground when I need to, and even interviews don't freak me out. My work isn't the most important thing in my life, but I'm grateful for the experiences I've had because they've helped round me out as an individual. I'm that confidant woman I always wanted to be. Well, for the most part -- my Mother in Law still freaks me out sometimes! HA ha!

Greetings! Great idea Tara.

I am a wonder woman because I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa...the highest point on that continent (over 19,000 feet). I did it with my 50 year old mom a couple of years ago. It took us 7 days and was by far the bravest, most daring thing I have ever done. On the day of the summit, my mom and I were the only ones that did not get sick from the high altitude. We have wonderful pictures of us well above the tree line standing on glaciers.

That same trip, before my mom got there, I traveled around Egypt by myself, which was also quite daring!

Cheers!

I think I'm a Wonderwoman b/c I work full-time during the day and go to school full-time at night. I don't have time to lay around like I would LOVE to do!

Monday I start back to school after a 2wk break. I'll be working from 7am - 4:45pm then on to school from 5pm to 10pm, Monday thru Thursday and "regular" working hours on Friday. AGH!

I don't think there is any one great accomplishment that makes me a wonderwoman. I think the ability to manage two part-time jobs, a full-time(overload) class schedule, perform with a professional wind band, be a full-time wife--and love every minute of everything-- would make any woman a wonderwoman!

Hey, Lori. I just have to say... that is so bad a$$. One of my goals in life is to climb Mt. Kilamanjaro. Definitely something to be very proud of.

This is a way cool idea, Tara & Connie!

My wonderwoman accomplishment is no big secret. It's that I left my comfortable and secure job as a middle school science teacher to go to medical school. I was scared to death that I wouldn't be able to cut it, but I have a hard year down and I'm still hanging in.
