Yeast infection question? :(

So I am almost positive I have a yeast infection. I had one a few years ago but I can't remember what it was like. I have been having a lot of creamy discharge. It's white and odorless. Then tonight during BD I had a little bit of discomfort.

I'm really upset because I am about to enter my fertile window and I'm not sure what to do. I am 8 days away from O. Should I go buy that cream (it worked great for me before) and nip it in the bud before it's too late? Will that monistat cream mess up TTC? Will a yeast infection ruin my chance of TTC if I wait to treat it? This is so frustrating! :(

First I would be sure it is a yeast infection and not a bacterial infection. If it is bacterial it will smell like fish, sorry tmi....yeast is usually clumpy. If it is yeast I suggest using monistat because it does work better than the store brand. They have a 3 day kit that have the capsuls rather than the loose cream. My dr said to never use the 1 day treatment because it almost never works to completely treat the infection. She said 7 days are the best, but 3 day treatment is very good too. Hopefully using the 3 day monistat you will be ready to BD when its time.

You can buy the 3 day cream and really zap it quick before you hit your fertile window. It shouldn't mess anything up especially since O is still 8 days away.

Thanks. I went and picked up some monistat and will probably start using it tonight. I also bought tons of yogurt and am drinking plenty of water today! I just couldn't really remember how things went last time I had one so I was a little freaked at first.

I used to get yeast infections ALL the time (turns out it was too high a dose of BC pill... no probems since switching to a low-dose version). I see you already went and bought some Monistat so by now you've probably got it under control, but I was going to say that if you go to the doc to make sure its yeast and not bacterial, they can give you Diflucan. Its one pill and it always cleared up my yeast great!
