I've always heard to use the first temp you take when you wake up. Like the first temp after a few hours of sleep. So I would use the 5:45 one. THats my opinion.

I found this similar question on fertility friend:

How do I take my temperature when charting?

There are a few guidelines to follow when taking your temperature to make sure you get the best interpretation on your chart.

  • Take your temperature just as you wake up in the morning, before doing anything else.
  • Take your temperature at the same time every morning, or as close to the same time as possible. Note the time.
  • Take your temperature after a solid few hours of sleep.
  • Take your temperature using a special BBT thermometer.
  • Enter your data on your chart or bedside notepad as soon after taking your temperature as possible.

I would record your temp for the 545am. I am no expert bc I just started temping this cycle

I agree with the pp. Use the first temp, or if you want you can do the temp adjustment. I think they have one on: www.mymonthlycycles.com or it might be: www.whenmybaby.com.

Hi! That is such a slight difference in temps, it doesnt even matter!! (ESPLY SINCE YOU HAVE ALREADY oED)

i'd use the second one tho. In my experience, it is more accurate. i often temp earlier than normal, then again, and over the months/years, it makes more sense for my charts/my physiology.

I'd go for the second temp too.
