Digital OPK and questions about ovulation

Hey I have a few questions...

How do digital OPKs compare to the ones where you compare the lines? I mean obviously they are easier to read...but are they as sensitive? I'm just wondering because I haven't got a positive one yet..but I have been having watery CM and I think I'm experiencing O-pains...except they are not just on one side...they are on both....can that happen? Also my temps are completely random. You can check out my FF chart if you want by clicking my ticker. I always

Opk's can be tricky. I have a short surge & some cycles I wouldn't get a positive even when I held my pee & didn't drink a lot. When I did get smiley's, it was generally in the late afternoon or evening. I'd say the watery cm & O pains is a great sign -don't worry about it being on both sides. I checked out your chart & maybe today's dip is a good sign too, since many gals get a pre-O dip the day before O. Fx'd you see a big temp spike tomorrow! Oh & dont worry about your pre-o temps looking wonky. Once you see a sustained thermal shift & get crosshairs & a coverline your chart will look prettier, I promise!!

Happy bd'ing!

I use digital opks. I usually test in the afternoon. I also usually get two days of poitives and ovulate on my first negative result after my second positive. My first day seems to have a light positive if I look at the lines when I eject the stick, second day is a strong 2 lines, then negative. Hope this helps...

Thanks Angela for checking out my chart! I really hope it was a temp dip before O today! We will see! I've been trying to test in the afternoon...but I don't know....so confusing!

Drats!!! I was really hoping for a big jump today :( Sorry you're feeling frustrated. Ttc sucks...

Try not to get too discouraged. Some gals have a slow rise & we might end up seeing this from your chart :) The O cramps & watery cm are great signs. I say keep bd'ing & watch that cm.

How long are your cycles normally? Did you use the regular opk's before? Honestly, if they're giving you too much trouble I say just forget the opk's. Another option is to use the cheapies & once you're pretty sure it's positive, try backing it up with a smiley. That way you don't need to worry about wasting the pricey ones.

Well Angela I have no "normal" cycle haha. No but honestly I went off BC in January and they were fairly normal until May which was when I really started TTC and then they got funky. I've had cycles as short as 22 days and as long as 38 days. So I'm having a really hard time getting a normal cycle. But I think next month I'll try the cheapie OPKS like you said and back it up with the smilely...great idea.

I do have my FXed for a slow rise! I really think I noticed EWCM today!!! I've never really noticed it before but it was for sure different then other CM I've experience! So I'll keep bd-ing!

Thanks ladies!
