I am on CD 18. I have been taking OPK tests since CD 13 and they have been negative. I was thinking this weekend would have been the beginning of my fertile weekend, but

It sucks hon but you gotta be patient. Some months I dont even catch my surge. Are you testing 1x or 2x a day? No need to worry -lots of gals O late. Grow little Eggies grow!!

As for temping it takes a while to see a pattern but once you see that temp jump you'll know you've O'd. You *may* have a slight temp dip right before you O so you can keep an eye out for that too.

No need to worry -just keep on bd'ing & have lots of spermies just chilling waiting for that Eggie to drop :)

I wanted to make sure it was normal. My OBGYN said that if I had 29-32 day cycles on average that we should be BDing around days 10-18. Now that we are past day 18 I was just a little worried since the OPK's aren't positive yet and the temp has not spiked yet.

I have been taking the OPK's around 4 each day I try to hold my pee for 4 hours but am not always successful with that. Today I did it in the morning so I will be doing another one around 6.

Not everyone runs like clockwork & many of us are no where near "average" so at least you're in good company! Fx'd that Eggie drops soon & puts you out of your misery...that is until you hit the 2ww & enter a whole other world of crazy ;)

Which opk's are you using? Anyways, try not to stress yourself out too much over this -stress can delay O so try & relax & bd your frustrations away!

My update for today...My temp has been 97.2 for the last few days and this morning was 96.93. I took tw opk tests today and negative. We are on day 20 now. Last month my cycle was 35 days so maybe my cycles are going to be longer now than 30ish days like they used to be.

Fx'd the lower temp is an ovulation dip! The digital opk's are great since it's black or white -all or nothing *but* one of the nice things about using the cheapie strips is that you can see them progressively getting darker & darker so at least you know you're getting closer :)

Anyways, there's a chance you might not catch your surge so don't feel bad if that happens. Just make sure you're bd'ing! I didn't catch my surge my first cycle using the digi's & I was totally lazy about bd'ing since I figured we'd wait until I got the positive -big mistake & totally wasted that cycle

I don't think my surge is high enough to have o'd. My temp. this morning was 97.5. I took your advice and also took a cheap strip and I could definitely see a faint line, but not nearly as dark as the control line.

My OBGYN said that since last month I had a 35 day cycle and if I continued to have 35 or longer cycles I should see her again. Is it harder to get pregnant if you have longer cycles? I have heard of the luteal phase defect, but didn't know a longer cycle might be problematic.

I'm probably stressing myself out and causing my cycle to be longer! I have been under a lot of stress since February, my mom was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and had a hysterectomy and is finishing up radiation treatment. So I have been really worried about her health and having to help out a lot with her and my dad (who has MS and is in a wheelchair). In addition to working full-time as a child care Director(I have rubbed enough elbows with pregnant ladies to be pregnant now) which can be a stressful position! I usually have had 30-32 day cycles, but I'm wondering if daily stress plus adding ttc seriously if it is pushing my cycles out longer.

I think it's a definite possibility that the added stress is affecting your cycles. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom :( You definitely do have a lot on your plate but your parents are so lucky to have such a loving & supportive daughter to help out in such difficult times - I'll be sending lots of positive thoughts your way :)

Stress can definitely delay O but even if you O late with a 35 day cycle, you can still have a healthy lp. Generally anything under 10 is considered a defect, while some prefer it to be 12 & up so don't count yourself out just yet. Keep temping & opk'ing and hopefully a pattern will emerge...chin up hon! Is there any way you can try & make some more time for yourself? Tough I know, but a little relaxation might go a long way :)

I tested today and the clear blue was a smiley :smileyvery-happy:

I was so excited to see a smiley and it wasn't even a positive pregnance, is that sad or what! So how often should we BDing. We BD'd yesterday and Tuesday and some days over the weekend. Keep BDing until I don't get a positvie OPK anymore?

Yahoo!!!! I know it seems so silly to get so exited over a little happy face!! Lol! I always do a little dance ;)

I say bd as much as you & dh can over the next few days...pull some doubles if you want :) Also keep an eye on your temp -FF will give you ch (crosshairs) after 3 days of high temps but I can tell right away when Ive Od cause it's a major spike for me.

Have fun :) Also, maybe just use the cheap opk's over the next few days so you're not wasting any...that's what I'd do anyways ;)
