I haven't been on in a while, but I need some advice!

I got my BFP on Monday after a m/c in December...

Don't have much experience with betas and I have only gotten to that point once, but I know that there are ladies on here that sometimes have slow starts but turn into healthy pregnancies. Sadly at this point, all you can do is wait. Did the dr. seemed concerned at all?? I know that doesn't help much, but sending lots of positive thoughts and hugs... Please KUP!

FX for a great number Saturday!

Yes, the dr. was concerned, but she said we're not counting anything out right now.. she said they have seen this before as well... Where the numbers slowly increase, but continue on to healthy pregnancies... so really, I guess

So sorry about the slow betas. I can tell you that more often than not, betas that don't double end up as early losses*BUT* I can also tell you about many women who go on to have healthy pregnancies so at this point you are really 50/50. I will hope and pray for you!

Well, I went back Saturday morning, which was almost exactly 48 hours after my Thursday draw and my levels were up to 99, so they are rising more rapidly, but still not doubling...

Sorry to hear about the slow rising betas. My only experience with slow rise numbers is when I had my ectopic, sorry. i'm not sure if they will see anything on u/s in either case at this point. My docs always said hcg had to be over 1000 to see anything. Hugs to you and I hope you get some answers (and that they are all good).

I really hope things turn out. When I had my ectopic my beta numbers doubled initially but they staggered around 400 for a little less then a week. I did have spotting which prompted me to get more betas (the earlier mentioned 400ish). They never found anything on ultrasound so they assumed it was ectopic. That is standard protocol when low rising betas and nothing on ultrasound. I had a few ultrasounds over a week.

I have also heard of people with slow rising betas having perfectly healthy babies. The waiting is the hardest, that is for sure. I really hope your LO is ok and that the worrying is for nothing. I will pray for that. Please don't count yourself out until you know for sure.

Hugs.......
