Four years later, finally....BFP!!!

Well, I can't believe that I am finally able to post here after four long years of TTCAM. Previously, I had two m/c (2003 and 2005.) However, I got married in 2008 and we have been trying since that time. In 2010, we tried IUI with no luck and then shortly after we realized my husband had some issues that were not there previously when he was tested. In May 2011, he had surgery and the physician said to give it 4-6 months for the surgery to reach its fill potential. Well, here we are six and a half months later...BFP. My first appointment is on Wednesday so I'm ready to make sure everything is on the right track. I'm already taking a prenatal, 4mg of Folic Acid, baby aspirin, and Prometrium (3x daily.) I used to be on the board for three years so if any of the TTCAM ladies are still here...I would live to hear from you. Sticky baby vibes to everyone!!! :)

Hi Kiki-

The baby aspirin is to help if you have a clotting disorder or borderline clotting disorder. It thins the blood out to keep it from harming the pregnancy.

I have the MTHFR mutation which means that I don't process/absorb folic acid properly. When they did testing they found that I didn't have any blood clotting disorders but he put me on a baby aspirin (81 mg) anyway just to be on the safe side. Hope that helps!
