Fourth of July BFP!

Hi ladies! Sorry I have been MIA for a few days - I went to Philly over the long weekend to visit my family.

We have been doing RE testing this month, and while we did TTC, I wasn't really feeling it as my BFP month. I have been gearing up for the IUI in August. Well, by 4th of July, I suddenly realized that I was somewhere around CD32 and no sign of spot or AF or anything! I went out and bought an HPT, took it at 4:30 in the afternoon, and instant BFP! I was and am kind of in shock.

Kelly, mom to 4 year old Lexi, wife to Rob TTC Number 2 since April 2010, with a loss in June 2010 at 4.5 weeks, and a loss in April 2011 at 8 weeks (possibly ectopic). Saw the RE in May 2011, we were moving forward with testing and an IUI when we

thanks ladies! I'm trying to stay relaxed and optimistic.

First betas are back: My HCG is 1,224!!!! The RE's office is VERY happy with that and said it is a great level based on my LMP. Progesterone is 56, which they are also happy with, but want me to do the progesterone anyway. Earlier they said I wouldn't have to come back until next week if my number was good, but I talked to a different nurse and she said that their protocol is a 48 time window, so I'm going on Friday again and then again next Wed. for bloodwork.

Ok, bad news - DH tested positive as a carrier for cystic fibrosis. Boo. I am getting tested for that on Friday. If I am a carrier too, obviously this bean is at risk and we'll have to be counseled on those risks. FX that I am negative on that one!!! I am hoping it's just him - we have one healthy daughter, so I hope that's a good indicator.

Congratulations, Kelly, on your BFP and your AMAZING betas!! I'm sure the chances of you being a CF carrier too are very low, but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you on that front as well. Lots of SBVs and P&PT coming your way!! Congrats again!
