Prometrium question

Finally got a BFP. Dr put me on Prometrium just to be safe until she can check my numbers. Here's my question, the bottle said to take it orally, so I did. Turns out the Dr wanted me to take it vaginally. Did I do any harm to the baby by taking it orally for one day (2 doses)?

No harm done. The prometrium pills can be taken either orally or vaginally. Taken vaginally they are more effective in the target area! Just start taking it vaginally from now on, but even taking it orally that one time will have done good!

Suppositories are definitely different from pills, I would have just worried about you more than baby! LOL! I am sure you are fine, I would have maybe expected upset stomach. DON'T take suppositories orally, there are totally separate pills for that!

i have prometrium too. it can be taken either orally or vaginally (my bottle says orally, but my doc said vaginally) so i'm sure there's no harm. symptoms can be more noticable if you take the pills orally but vaginally is a bit messier. choose your battles, right?! ;)
congrats on your BFP and enjoy what i like to call hoo-ha pills!
