Jessica - congrats on a healthy pregnancy, that is wonderful news. We are all very happy for you that this pregnancy is going well.

I just want to say, however, that this section is for BFP and beta updates, not pregnancy updates. Like it says at the top of the board "reserve your pregnancy updates to Pregnant after a Loss." It's very difficult for some of us to scroll down here looking for people's beta updates and see in the message line of your "update" that you are talking about being 9 weeks pregnant. We were all here for you during your TTCAM journey, and I just ask that you be sensitive to those of us still here on this board.

I hope the Friday appointment goes well for you.

Woo-hoo Jessica! Now, that's what I like to hear! 160 is a terrific heartrate. Isn't that the most amazing feeling, to see that little flicker all strong and happy?

Please KUP. I'll be thinking about you, and praying for you on Friday.

I think it is fine for her to update this here because she is very early in her pg and was still in the "am I or am I not" stage. If this were her 20 wk u/s or something then I would agree with you. I want to see this update from everyone that gets a BFP, the "OK, there is a baby, there is a heartbeat, I really am on my way!", then we know for sure.

I am sure you don't realize this - but the "warning" at the top was only added after I said something. Otherwise, it was a not pleasant shock to me to scroll down and, without even clicking on the thread, start reading about her 9 week appointment. And I have to respectfully disagree that 9 weeks is not still the "is there a heartbeat" stage. I think Jessica herself can tell you that this is not the first time she heard the heartbeat.
I just have a really hard time reading about a 9 week appointment when this section is supposed to be specifically for BFP and beta updates - 9 weeks is way past that.
Those people that have previously posted later stage PG stuff made sure that they had a warning that took up all of the intro lines of the thread so that it was clear it was more than a BFP or beta update, and you didn' t have to click on it to read it. I thnk that's fine, but that's not what's happening here - even with the warning that was added.

Am I understanding this correctly? Grads can't post anything besides betas and bfp's? I mean, I know what this section is for, but I thought I understood that it was ok to post stuff about early ultrasound results...minus pics of course.

What if some ladies have awesome beta numbers at the beginning and have a m/c anyway? What if she's having a threatened m/c and is not ready to go to PAL yet? What if her 1st or 2nd ultrasound showed an increasing HB, only to have the baby gone by the next week? A couple of these scenarios happened to me with my 3 recent losses.

I'm very confused because some people say it's ok to post stuff about recent ultrasounds and really want to hear what's happening with the grads without going to PAL to see it. Others are saying that they don't want to see anything down here beyond betas. It's really conflicting information and a bit disconcerting.

I'm not trying to cause an uproar and I'm not trying to hurt anyone, but I'm just confused. I do know how painful it is for some women to see updates...I know. I'm going through a fresh loss myself right now, so I understand that aspect.

I'm pretty sure this board already had this discussion and that is when the title of this section was changed TO BFP and Beta updates. It was changed specifically b/c so many women said it was painful to see all of these pregnancy updates.

And of course, if someone has a m/c or the heartbeat stops or slows down, they should come back to TTCAM and post about it for support. But that is NOT what this post is - this post is specifically a pregnancy update, and the information at the top of the TTCAM board specifically says to be respectful of the women still on this board and keep your pregnancy updates to PAL.
