OMG - can you just say waterworks? It was the family that lost three of their children in a car accident (two girls and a boy all under 5) and then a year later, gave birth to triplets (two girls and a boy)... What a tragic story - makes you kind of appreciate what you have in life because you just never know...

Hey Ann,

What a tragedy! Amazing how the world operates. I've not heard this story so I hope this episode of Oprah screens here!

I did not see it, but my nanny told me about it this morning. She said the triplets even looked a lot like each of the deceased kids - true?

What an amazing story.

They did in certain features but the boy and one girl were really toe heads and the other was just blonde... Their other kids only one was a toe head - the other just blonde... I honestly (and sadly) wondered if they "choose" the sex, etc. They had three embryos and they knew the sex - I don't know anything about IVF - is that possible? They knew going in, that there were two girls and a boy... But they made a point to tell Oprah they weren't looking to replace their kids - they talk about them to the new kids and keep them a part of their lives.
