I started taking BCP last night. It seems so counterintuitive, but from what I've read it increases the effectiveness of IVF cycles. I am eager for Thursday's appt since it will allow me to write everything on a calendar and know when everything is happening. From my estimation, this all lines up perfectly with the end of the school year.

Ahh...glorious words, the end of the school year. The kids have no idea how eager teachers are. Not because we dislike the job, but after the spring state testing, the last couple month become more of a struggle with them and we are just tired. I need to start packing my classroom stuff up. I still don't know if I'll be at the same school next year. I am really hoping for one closer to my house. I commute 20mi each way and it would save on a lot of gas/mileage. I'm really disappointed in the drought we're having. It is interfering with my lab today. I was going to show the kids the stoma under plant leaves. You swipe some clear nail polish on there and let it dry. Lift it with some desk tape, and put it right on a microscope lide. Voila! Stoma. But with as dry as it has been the plants little transpiration holes are puckered up tighter than a.......hehe...I'll be ladylike.

DH's 45th birthday is tomorrow. He is hoping to benchpress 315lbs by tomorrow as a milestone and triumph. He has a bit of an addictive personality and these past few years its been The Gym. Not a bad addiction for him

Sounds like you all have the opposite problem as we do. Your weather has been too dry. Ours is too wet. Both those problems are not good for trying to grow plants. I hope the end of the school year gets here really fast. I know how it is at the end of the school year for a teacher. I taught in a school for a couple years when I first was married. Those kids "check out" by then end of May and June is just so "painful" with trying to get anything done. LOL! Out here, the public schools don't get out until the end of June, so it's a long, month for teachers. :)

Happy birthday to your DH! I hope he enjoys his party tomorrow! And good luck with trying to get a job a little closer to home for next school year! Fingers crossed!

AFM, I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the beginning of spotting for me today. In a way, I know I really shouldn't be pg this early in starting my allergy shots, along with the fact that I really didn't take full advantage of my fertile time, even though we dtd on O day. Even so, I'm slightly disappointed that we can't even get pg when we're "not supposed to." LOL! I almost had it in my mind that if I wasn't SUPPOSED to get pg (kinda like those high school girls who aren't supposed to get pg, but still have unprotected sex), that maybe we'd finally be successful? I guess not. I know it really doesn't make sense, but I was hoping! I guess it just reaffirms to me that I should be able to just keep TTC while doing my shots...chances are I won't get pg anyway.

Initially, I read "Tampon Springs" and could not believe that there was a placed called that!

It does bug him sometimes, as it does me. Not that I love him less. In fact, I get melancholy thinking about how I will get cheated of time with him. Sometimes he'll say things like "I am sure I have another 25 good years left" and my gut reaction is "not enough! not fair!" But we never know how much time we get with our spouses, I suppose. It doesn't bug him about TTC, though. He's already a dad, he's just continuing his sentence so to speak.

I don't know about taking BCP to increase your chances of conceiving, but if it works why not?

I do know about teachers being glad about the year being over. My mother was a teacher in the public school system for years, and I know how much work went into...everything. She was always so glad to be packing up her stuff, although she always missed (at least some of) the children. She's very happy she got out of teaching before the testing began.

Happy birthday to your DH tomorrow! Have a lot of fun with your friends tomorrow night.

Now you've got me on a *silent*

The recipe calls for 1 c peanut butter, 1 block softened cream cheese, 1 cup cool whip, 1/2 c milk. Blend, pour into a cookie crust. Top w. candy, syrup or sprinkles.

Yeah, this woman defintely needed a bra. BBS swing around when you move in a gym.

So yesterday at the gym I almost punched a big steroid freak. It must have been my adrenaline, but he looked at me, stepped in front of me while I was walking, and just stopped. The expression on my face must have been violent b/c people around me backed up and I know I raised my fists. Now I wonder what I'll get into tonight?

Chouli, this is my 2nd time doing allergy shots in my lifetime. The first time around, they desensitized me mostly to the molds, pollens, and such for the outdoor allergens. But, dust just never took. They're doing shots for dust mites and cockroaches (ewww!) and when I had my testing, my arm blew up from the dust mites. I had a welt 5.5"x4.5" on my arm. It was horrible. And it itched so badly! They've started me out on the very lowest dose and had to repeat the very lowest dose the 2nd week of shots because I had breathing troubles after the first shot. *sigh* I had more breathing troubles after shot #2, but not quite as bad as the first week. We'll see what they want to do this week with shot dosage. This might be a long process, if dust wasn't knocked out in the first 5 years of shots (this was over 15 years ago) and I'm having some issues with the shots this time around. *eye roll*

I hear you on the bra thing in the gym, too. LOL! I think they should be necessary anywhere, though. LOL! I was driving down a main thoroughfare in a neighboring town and saw a woman walking down the sidewalk and obviously was not wearing one. And she DEFINITELY needed one. It was rather disturbing. LOL!

I hope tonight at the gym doesn't result in anyone getting KO'ed by Chouli! ;)

No fighting, but here is the latest installment of ..........People of the Gym, Episode 12: Don't pick your nose!! As soon as I'm done running these sprints, I'll be using that weight machine. Gah!
