In honor of spring and fertility, I made a fruit/veggie garden in my backyard today. I hope it grows well...right along w/ my belly!!

That looks fantastic! We just got the materials for setting up a raised garden bed today. Now, if the weather gets a little more moderate (temp-wise) and the rain would just stop long enough so my yard isn't a mud pit, then I could set up my garden and get things growing! I hope you get your garden and your belly growing together! :)

How big is your garden? The kit we bought is a 4'x4' space, so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to fit in there, although I am just excited to do even a LITTLE bit of gardening!

Good questions, I didn't measure it. It took 30 cuft of soil to fill. I suppose you could count the cinderblocks and estimate (probably 4'X6'). We had the cinderblocks left over from 2 yrs ago when I tried my hand at composting. Now I have a big green drum composter rather than a pit and I hope it works better. You'll do great with that much space!

Thanks, Chouli! I'm so bad at estimating size based on a picture and I can't, for the life of me, think how wide cinder blocks are, so I didn't even think of using that as a way to figure out the size of your garden. LOL! Thanks for sharing, though. I hope we both have fantastic gardens this year! I hope to start mine next weekend. (I'm hoping the rain will decide to stop flooding things by then.)
