Food thread anyone?

I admit am a "recovering fat girl". So I'm neurotic about calories and my body image and all that. But scratch the surface of self discipline and I quite simply adore food. I watch the foodie shows on the travel channel and the Food Network and call it my "Food Porn". I love ethnic food, exotic food, flavorful food. I am always looking for a new restaurant to try.

What do you think about a Sista-Hood thread for our favorite foods/restaurants? I know we're not all in the same area, but sometimes chain restaurants can be good!

I'll start and if it bombs as a thread, NP

Chouli,
I love food, too...I'm a not-so-recovering fat girl, but I'm definitely working on it. I live in Massachusetts, but since I don't eat seafood, I can't be a big help for recommendations for "lobstah" or any of that stuff.

I love Indian food. Salem, MA has a great Indian restaurant, Passage to India.

My DH is a super foodie & food snob. We moved the beg. of the yr to the burbs from just outside the city so its a been a total food shock.

Im also in MA, though no where near the others. I did go to Salem State though many moons ago :)

As for chains we frequent...

For chains, I love Chipotle...in fact I had it for dinner tonight.
Cheesecake Factory is one of my favorties, but I avoid it like the plague...

For those of you in MA:
Horseshoe Grill in North Reading is great. They serve fresh cornbread with maple butter, instead of the usual rolls before dinner.

I <3 Salem...The Fountain Place has GREAT breakfast...it's a tiny hole-in-the-wall, cash only place.
Roosevelts is good.

There's a chain on the North Shore in MA...Brother's Deli. It's a greek owned deli-style place. It has GREAT breakfast...they're open for lunch in dinner, too...but the breakfast is the best.
