Ok so I have to apologize to you girls. Since all of the big board changes happened, I have been really terrible at starting up new posts, and have completely neglected making new threads such as this one.
Anyway, here you go, a question of the day:
Are your ears pierced? Do you wear earrings?

My ears have been pierced since I was 1 year old. But at puberty I became allergic to metals in my ears. Now I get serious contact dermatitis if I wear them for even an hour. I'm actually pretty bitter about this because I love jewelry and see so many pretty earrings that I can't wear. I've tried painting them w/ clear nail polish, plastic post sleeves, tried titanium/gold/silver/surgical steel, etc. Its weird b/c I have a navel ring that has never caused problems. Just allergic in my ears I guess.
I have TWO piercings, just in the normal place. I wear a pair of diamond studs in one, and different pairs in my first set.
Daily, I have small hoops I wear that are gold and won't hurt my ears. I too have a sensitivity to certain metal earrings, so I only wear other earrings for part of the day. I can tolerate sterling silver for a short time.

I got my ears pierecd when I was in preschool, but I do not usually wear earrings unless it is a special occassion, like a big holiday party or a wedding or something.
I also got a navel ring after I turned 18, but had to take it out a couple years ago when I first got pregnant.
I have my ears pierced (single piercing), but I don't usually wear earrings. I used to have double-lobe piercing in both ears and a double cartilidge piercing in my left ear, but got sick of them and took them out. I also had my nose pierced in college.
