As an older child (high school), my favorite place was going to Yellowstone with my family. I definitely want to go back there sometime.
As an adult (married only 3 years), I think my favorite place was going to a Family Reunion in Asheville, NC. It was to a retreat called Christmount in the mountains in the summer. It was hot, but not unbearable. We had a great cabin in the woods there and it was definitely very peaceful. Definitely a great place to walk, be outdoors, and enjoy nature!
When we lived in Georgia (we were 30 minutes north of Tallahassee) we would drive out there at least once a month. It was absolutely gorgeous. The beach is just amazing - so beautiful and not very populated. On days when there were the most people there, we only had to walk a short way down the beach to feel secluded. The campground at the state park is very nice as well. I just loved it there. I wish we still lived in Georgia so we could visit there.
