TTC while "trying to lose weight"

So Aimee's comment in the ttc 9+ thread about losing weight got me thinking - losing weight while ttc is hard! We totally need to support each other! I thought I'd start a thread, didn't know where to put it, so it fell in the lounge. Hopefully it will catch on...

My goal for this week is two-fold - #1 I'm trying to drink at least 3 bottles of water a day, I don't drink tap water because we have way too much iron in our supply. and #2 is to lose 2 pounds.

I weigh myself on Saturday's and I started with a goal on Jan 1. My ultimate goal if for the year, by Dec 31 to lose 49 pounds.

I so belong here. I have no accountability so it's easy to procrastinate. I will not say how much I weigh but I would be thrilled to lose 100 lbs.

My weekly goal will be to lose 2 lbs and get to the gym at least 4 times. I am paying for the membership, I might as well use it! All I drink during the day is water, except for my coffee in the morning.

I think it's a great idea to use this kinda as a daily confessional and a motivator. Ya know, like, today I ate 3 candy bars or I burned 1000 calories.

well, I'm not saying how much I weigh either, and 49 pounds is not all I need to lose, I'm just setting that as a goal for this year!

So for breakfast today, I had oatmeal with lots of brown sugar! it was yummy!!! I'll admit that I don't worry about what I eat for breakfast.
For lunch we had fish and fries - both fried, but I always peel off the breading from my fish, and I got full super fast so I only ended up eating half a piece.
I've had an 8 oz glass of diet mountain dew and I'm on my second bottle of water!
Absolutely NO exercise today unless you count the constant movement of my fingers on the keyboard! hmm, wonder how many calories can be burned by typing??? lol ;)

mmm Oatmeal sounds so yummy. maybe that's what I'll have tomorrow.

I usually skip breakfast. Not because I am not hungry (but I usually am not) but because I am so busy. I was eating 2 eggs and toast around 10 but we are currently out of eggs and money.

Today I have had 2 BIG cups of coffee. like 2 tsp of sugar and about 1/4 off milk. For lunch I had a tuna fish sandwich with onions, mayo and mustard with 2 glasses of water. I have shoveled snow, not a lot but it still counts, and have played "soccer' in the house with DS1.

The daytime is so easy not to eat or eat too much. It is once the kids are in bed that my appetite soars! In 2004-05 I was on phentermine to lose weight. It was a miracle drug. 50 lbs in 7 months and I had the same issue with night eating then too. How to get past it???

BTW I don't thing fried foods are totally bad for you. As long as it's in moderation. I made homemade chicken nuggets for dinner last night. And baking them so does not give them the crunch they deserve!

Love this idea. Dustie, I just started the new Points Plus WW program today. Already feeling a little guilty because most fruits are free and I'm totally taking advantage of that!

I've got about 35 pds to lose until I hit my goal of 150. I'm not putting a time limit on things, just going to stick to the WW program and see where it takes me. At one point I was at 250 and lost a bunch doing WW so I'm pretty excited about their new program since I need a jump start!

I'm totally with you all on the excersize thing too. We have a treadmill, I just need to get on the thing! lol

yum! I love eggs! I haven't made them in a while though - I was actually going to make pancakes and eggs this morning (no work because we didn't have school today) but dh had already gotten a bowl of cereal before I came out of the bedroom. oh well.
