that's suffered a m/c, then is pg. again or had a healthy baby after m/c?

I am looking for a bit of hope......(I am tired of people telling me, I m/c'd because I am too old! :smileymad:)

IDK, if I should try again? With my baby angel, I got pg. on very 1st try.....

Kiki, my doctor was very supportive of my trying again. he said that the chances were very good that I would be able to have a healthy pregnancy next. He told me to TTC for a couple of months and then come in if we get frustrated and he'll help. I have had to be on clomid in the past to conceive. Now I am 39 and not in my 40's yet, but I'm very close. Hope that helps!

Thanks Rachel...it does!

Well, I'm 'thinking' that altho I got pg. with dd, when I was 31, I had no problem getting pg. & carry a healthy baby & I did get pg. when I was 43, very 1st try....so I am hoping for the next try to be my 2nd healthy baby!!

Hi Kiki,

I'm so sorry for your loss... :(

There are a couple of recent graduates from TTCAM over on PAL who are now in their 2nd/3rd trimesters and are over 40. I would definitely have a heart to heart with your doctor because every woman's situation is different, but you can tell all those naysayers that age is not necessarily the overriding factor in every miscarriage.

FX that you continue TTCing and get a sticky bean!

Hello,

i am not 40, but 37. I have 2 kids, my daughter at 30 and my son at 33, We fially decided for anoither and got pregant on the first try, i had a MC at 8 weeks in march, my first MC it was a hard loss. it took monthes for my cycle to re-start but then i got pregnant again in august and had a chemical mc, i didn't even know i was pegnant when i lost it, blood test let me know when it was too late...My dr was very supportive but let me know that my chances increase of having MC as our eggs get older bu that there is nothing saying that we won"t have a healthy pregnancy later. If i look at my friends, they have had great pregnancies in their late 30s and early 40s.
