I would say to ask your doctor. Do a bit of research, like about progesterone, and B6 and etc. Ask your doc if there is anything they recommend to help get pregnant, like clomid or femara, or if there is anything you can do to help prevent another loss - although there is likely not, I have had two miscarriages just before 10 weeks, and my last loss was in the 35th week. My doctor said "sometimes these things just happen, we don't always know why". I lost my last baby due to a sudden onset of severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome, so we do know why, yet there is really not anything we can do to prevent it from happening again. So, I don't really know that ever is really anything we can or can't do.

You have found a wonderful group of very supportive women here, we're here, and we understand. Hopefully your stay here will be short.

Like Tee said, I am doing things more for me than for TTC, but they might end up helping. I've given up caffeine, which has always been really hard for me to quit while pregnant and I'm hoping to be pregnant again soon, so why start again. I am switching vitamin brands from Safeway generic to an organic probiotic one that I really like. I'll probably start taking evening primrose oil when we get the green light to try again, to improve my CM, and I'm drinking a ton of red raspberry leaf tea to tone my uterus and bring on AF, although I'll stop before we start trying. Other than that I'm just trying to eat well and exercise, so I feel good about life.

To be honest I tried for almost a year before my 1st m/c. I really didn't do anything special during that year except take 1 round of Clomid. That resulted in my m/c. I continued to do 4 more rounds of Clomid with no luck. After trying so hard, I stopped living like I could be pg at any time. I would drink when I wanted and not worry about it. I tried preseed and instead cups. I tracked my ovulation by O pains and cm. I am not sure if any 1 think works or even if multiple things work.

Well, since we had started IF testing before we got pregnant with the baby we lost, we just continued to search for answers. I was tested for my progesterone and found that it was low. So, we tried a couple cycles of Femara and Prometrium before we kind of gave up actively TTC (it's been 3 years of trying with a loss after 2 years of trying...we're kind of feeling like it's not worth it anymore).

One thing I AM doing is taking B12. I'm noticing some subtle improvements in my body (rapid heart rate is decreasing, I'm not feeling so anxious, I'm gaining energy and motivation, I'm feeling less muscular pain in general, etc). But, I'm not sure that it is going to help with my fertility (and I'm OK with that). I'm just feeling good about improving something that I believe is a deficiency in my body (still waiting on my doctor's office to call me with my B12 blood test results, but I went ahead and started myself on supplements because I felt it was the root of my problems).

If you're wanting to be proactive and your doctor feels it is warranted, you can go through some basic bloodwork to check thyroid, vitamin levels, progesterone, etc. But, apart from that, I don't know that there is anything you can really do to prevent miscarriage. Sometimes there are no answers as to why.

While my most recent loss wasn't nearly as late as yours, I still was on the cusp of that 2nd trimester (I was 12w3d) and thought I was out of the danger zone. There was no known reason for my loss and I don't know that I could have prevented anything from happening and I don't know that there is any real way to prepare your body any better for another pregnancy or anything we can do to prevent a miscarriage in the future.
