I haven’t posted anything since sometime in 2008 I think, so sorry if this is long:

So, DH(35) and I(30) have been trying since mid-2006. We have had 4 early(ish) MC’s, D&C with first 3 and “natural” on the last which was just over a year ago. It never took us more than 3 months of TTC to get PG; in fact twice we did it in one month. My OB sent us to an RE after 2nd loss. We kind of got what we felt like was a big blow off from him because we had only had 2 losses. After MC#4 OB sent us to a different RE (who I LOVE LOVE LOVE!) and had a completely different experience. Although we’ve completed all of the testing, we have nothing to report. Everything was normal. I was hoping we’d have some answers so we could “fix” things. DH and I had a deal that if the RE didn’t find anything, we would call it quits. I, however, got my hopes up too high during the testing and we threw the deal out the window.

In the middle of all the testing (May), I had to get a follow-up CT Scan for a potential issue discovered by my cardiologist during my yearly echocardiogram (last October). I have aortic stenosis that is monitored annually. Turns out I had an Ascending Aortic Aneurysm that was progressing at a higher-than-average rate and needed surgery pronto. So, now that I’m bionic, I’m healed up and cleared for PG!

We spent a good amount of time last week BD’ing. I had a definite + on an OPK on the 15th so, I guess I’m officially in the 2ww.

When I brought up trying again anyway, He was all for it. He has asked me everyday this week if it's too early to take a test.. :smileyvery-happy:

Wow. Well first, I am so sorry for your losses. I would also be disappointed they didn't find the cause so it could be addressed. How does your DH feel about throwing the deal out the window?

And congrats that they caught and were able to fix your aneurysm! That is a triumph. What better way to celebrate your own life than to get knocked up!?! I hope your next bfp is soon and sticky.
