How long did you wait to start charting your BBT after miscarriage? I just had a miscarriage about a week ago and I'm not sure if I should wait until my period comes to start charting again or if I should start charting as soon as my hcg is back to 0. Thoughts? I've also heard various answers about how long you should wait to conceive after miscarriage. We are both dying to start trying again, but I don't want to conceive too soon and risk having another m/c.

I started charting my BBT after my m/c. If you're using FF and chart that you had a m/c, it usually starts a new cycle for you. At least, that's what it did for me.

As for trying again, your dr. would be the best person to ask at your F/U appointment. Making sure you're emotionally read is important too.

While some can conceive before their first post-m/c AF, I think the general consensus is to wait until your first AF after your m/c to start TTC, mainly because it gives your body time to build up your lining again properly. But, if you're wanting to, you can certainly start tracking your BBT and get to know what your body is doing post m/c. I hope that you're back on the TTC train again soon!

Most docs will say to wait at least one cycle before trying again, but that varies depending on which doc you ask. As for charting, it really does not matter when you start charting. I started right away after each of my losses. Good Luck!

I started charting right after my m/c just to keep up with what was going on.

Sorry to hear about your m/c. I starting charting immediately just to have a baseline and know what was going on with my body. Every person is different and there are women who have healthy pregnancies immediately following a m/c. Good luck!
