Hey All !

Introducing myself with a little history! Well my name is Ashley I'm married with 2 daughters (6,2) and 1 stepson(4). My husband and I have decided to TTC.

We have never had problems concieving, though towards the end we have problems keeping the baby in as I have an incompetent cervix. However, we've had 2 successful stories, our beautiful girls.

Fastforward to November, when I told DH I am ready for another baby (although hadnt been doing anything to prevent it anyway). He in return mentioned I usually get pregnant very easy so its odd I haven't been in the last 2 going on 3 years. We went to the doctor to ask why! We then find out that my cerclage from my pp with my youngest daughter due to me having a c-section, the cerclage(a stitch placed in the cervix to keep it from opening before full term) did not get removed. While I would've paid more attention to this had my baby girl not been in and out of the hospital. So we got the cerclage out and almost immediately start trying. We got pregnant. My belief is that I was about 6 weeks when we miscarried. This is the first miscarriage I've ever had. I believe it was a "chemical miscarriage" as when we visited the doctor for an ultrasound he stated he couldn't see anything. My HcG levels did rise for a second as they were suppose to but somewhere along the way baby left us. It's been about 5 days and blood has stopped & DH & I have begin to try again. The doctor has me on Crinone 8%, which makes me kind of nervous as I'vbe never needed something like this in the past. Plus I've read stories stating that once pregnant even missing a day can cause miscarriage. Like I said before the miscarriage we recently had is the only one I've ever had & I just could stand to go through it again. With me having successful pregnancies in the past, having a miscarriage now makes me feel like I've done something wrong.

I guess I'm just looking for some positive or similar stories. Any feedback on the Crinone?

It's sad how common miscarriages are, I had one myself at about 5 weeks. Just because you had this one doesn't mean that it will happen again. Try to stay positive if you can. At least you know that you can still get pregnant, so take that as a good sign. Good luck!
