Welcome, Jeannie. I'm so sorry for your loss. You've come to a wonderfully supportive place, full of women who know what you're going through. I hope your stay here is short and you get your sticky BFP soon!

I'm so sorry for your loss! I agree with pp that women over 40 have healthy babies all the time! My brother is one of them! Welcome to the group!

I'm so sorry for your loss. (((HUGS))) I hope that once the initial pain subsides, your DH will come around again. I know that it took us a little while before we were completely OK with TTC again. We still TTC, but it just was so incredibly scary for us and we weren't sure whether we truly wanted to. I hope you get that sticky BFP really soon!

Look, I'm 39, I had an abortion at 12 weeks due to a chromosomal abnormality, specifically trisomy 13, I'm not over this and would not wish that experience on anyone, it was and still is difficult for me to deal with, but if you don't try you won't know whether you can have a healthy one and maybe you can ease your DH mind a little knowing that there are tests that detect defects very early. I for one am thankful for these tests because of course everyone wants a perfect baby and I don't think there is a soul on this message board who really thinks I should have gone with the alternative which would be to have a baby that would have died shortly thereafter. Sorry, didn't want to make this thread about me, its about you, and I just want to support you and give you a position, an unpleasant one but a position to discuss with DH.
