I just wanted to post an intro so when/if I rely to a post you guys don’t think who the heck is that, lol. My name is Mellissa. I am 31 my DH is 35. I have 1 living son named Alex, he’s 6. On Oct.22 2010 my 2nd son Matthew Neal was born an angel @ 21 weeks. We aren’t TTC as of yet. But we will soon and I find all the info on the board very helpful. I never TTC just left it up to nature before, well that is TTC but never charted or checked CM. But with Matthew’s death I want to be more prepared and aware this time around. I don’t blame myself but I want to make sure I do everything by the book if I do have another. I never thought what happened to Matthew would (nobody does but it put things in perspective for me)so I want to be proactive in TTC incase a takes a while. I will just lurk for a while but again wanted you to know I’m here. I know I don’t understand a lot of what you ladies are going thru yet. So I won’t give out any advice but may post a P&PT/thinking of you reply every now and then.

I’m not charting yet because my cycle hasn’t returned since Matthew. I did check my cervix for the 1st the other day, lol. I don't understand why it's so uncofortable when the doctor does, it wasn't bad when I did it!

Thank you Kelly. I moved the post to moms of one or more intro's. I don't want to step on anyones feelings. I am waiting to TTC for my cycle. Doctor said anytime I was ready was fine, after testing and they found no cause.

Oh! I was wondering where it went! It's fine here -- this is the place for intros! I think the "moms of one or more" is for when moms want to chat about the trials of potty training or something, and don't want to hurt the moms who would kill to have a kid peeing on the floor right now. ;) (Honestly, no one uses it that way, because everyone here tries to be really respectful of each other's feelings.)

I'm glad there aren't extenuating circumstances to making you wait -- I'd say the vast majority of us found some healing in being able to start trying again, and I know I'd have been loopy if I'd been told to wait for a few cycles. (Well, I probably wouldn't have, but..... LOL)

Mellissa,

I am so sorry for your loss :( I can't imagine what it would feel like to lose a pregnancy at 21 weeks. I think I'd still be in a padded room right now.

We have a lot of women who post and aren't ready to TTC again yet. So there is no need to lurk or feel like you can't post until you're actually trying again. :) You can post about the weather if you want! Anything that makes you feel better or that you need to get off your chest is posting material here. You definitely don't need to feel like you don't have anything to offer because your road hasn't been the same as some of ours.

Please sit. Make yourself at home. Kelly is making coffee

I feel that way too. I haven't started TTC but just knowing I can start making charts and researching (I think I could be a gyn now, lol) makes me feel better. I still have some bad days like when they called with the autopsy. I feel I am ready and the pain about Matthew isn’t going to go away it may get easier but always be there.

No I totally get what you mean. Knowing you can try again soon and that you have SOME control over what's happening can do a lot to lift your spirits. I don't imagine you'll ever go a day without thinking about your baby :( But I can almost promise you that someday it will get easier and maybe someday you can think about him with a smile and know he's safe and warm somewhere. We have a good friend here - her name is Torie and she lost her little boy at 35 weeks this past March and I know she is finally at place where she can think about him with happiness some days. I hope you get there soon.
