Libido after miscarriage

I feel almost embarrassed to be asking this, but I'd really love some insight. I had my miscarriage last friday, but by wednesday night I had such increased sex drive that I was completely baffled by it. And it's sitll up there. Even the day before I was still in pain and bleeding quite heavily, so intimacy wasn't even on my radar. But 24 hours later, it's like my hormones completely flipped, and even though I was still bleeding, my libido was way up there. I know this is such a personal topic, but has anyone experienced something similar? Is it normal at all? My understanding was that after miscarriage, one is much more inclined to have a low libido, what with all the physical and emotional change and pain. Is it possible that I could be near ovulation even though it's only been a week since my miscarriage and I'm still having symptoms of healing from the miscarriage? I'm more than a little confused. And definitely not comfortable being intimate yet despite the drive.

I'm sure that with the miscarriage, your hormones are doing ALL SORTS of wacky things. I'm sure that just about anything is normal. I would just make sure that you wait until all bleeding has stopped before you get intimate with your DH, since things could still be open and there is an increased risk for infection right after miscarriage. I'm not sure if you had a D&C or a natural, but either way, the bleeding is partly from the loss, but also partly because where the baby implanted, there is a "wound" that needs to heal and if you had a D&C, who knows what needs to be healed after they work up in there. (((HUGS)))

To be totally honest, I doubt that you are Oing a week after your miscarriage, though. Take time to heal and I hope that you're back on the TTC wagon really soon.

Yeah, I doubt that I'd be ovulating at this point, too. But it definitely crossed my mind, as that does happen to me during ovulation a lot of the time.

I had a miscarriage at the end of December, and I've had absolutely no sex drive since then. I'm wondering if this has also happened to anyone else? Seems I got the opposite of all you ladies.
