Looking for some advice on Clomid Challenge?

Hi everyone- been a long time since I've been here.  After  losses in months, I am now seeking fertility help and going through many tests.

One is the Clomid Challenge and I am looking for some people who might know a little so I came back here :)

Day three tests FSH 13.7

All other blood drawn tests on this day were "normal" they say, but this was elevated.

I start Clomid challenge on Day 5 through 10.

What numbers am I looking for?  What is the normal?  Should it go up or down? I have no idea what to be shooting for (or what would be acceptable for me)

Nina, mc at 8 weeks, October 29, 2012, mc at 4.5 weeks on January 12,  staying positive and third times's a charm???

Supposedly clomid works by tricking your body into thinking you don't have enough estrogen so it promotes increased fsh to produce more follicles to make more estrogen.  The issue is your fsh is already elevated slightly- the normal is 2.5- 10.2 on day 3 fsh labs.  The post menopausal level is 23.0-116.3.   The RE wants to see how your body will respond to clomid but it may not respond.  Clomid is the first line treatment for fertility problems which can help produce more quality eggs and ovulation.  Did he/she do an antral follicle count by ultrasound?   The total count between both ovaries will tell him if you have diminished ovarian reserve.  They like to see at least 10 on each side.  I had 10 on each side but I was 31 and now I'm 36 and scared to know how many have poofed.  Some women have had success with dhea if they have lowered reserve.
