Hi Candy,

I am so sorry for your loss. :(

My experience is different from yours... I never had a break in the bleeding- I bled for weeks after both my m/c. After my m/c in 2008, my cycles have ranged anywhere from 24-36 days. I do know of other women who have had what appeared to be two periods within a couple weeks of each other, and then things straightened out.

Hang in there chica... give it a few weeks to see if you get back on track. Some women's bodies snap right back into action while others of us take a little bit longer.

Good luck in your TTC journey.

Hi Candy. I'm very sorry for your loss. It's never an easy thing to have a m/c, no matter how early on in the pg it is. I hope you're recovering as well as can be expected emotionally. It can be a long journey, and seeing pregnant women can really through us over the edge, can't it?

I didn't have the same issues as you. I had two m/c in 13 months, both ending with D&C's because my body wasn't taking care of them on it's own. I had very little bleeding with both of them and, with the second, we just jumped back on the TTC bandwagon as we're not getting any younger (I'm 42). I do know of many women who've had similar stories to you, and I think it's really just a matter of hormones being out-of-whack.

I don't think it really matters that much how far along you are, pregnant is pregnant and your body is producing many of

Hi ladies, thank you all so much for your responses! I didn't want to join a new board with a crazy rant like that but I just wasn't finding any answers as to what is going on. I'm glad to know I'm not crazy! :) I guess when your doing this whole ttc thing everything has to be so precise & when you finally get pg & lose it ( as if that isn't devastating enough) it's like starting another long journey all over. All the waiting might as well be torture because that's how it feels. Hopefully talking to others in this situation will make the time pass a lil quicker. It's weird that I never even wanted a child until this last year & now it's like over night it becomes an obsession. The stress of it all is so hard on a person. I also want to let you all know I'm very sorry for your losses as well & I'm here to talk if anyone needs to. Maybe it will ease some of the pain of feeling all alone. I was looking for a place to fit in & it seems this may be the place :). Sticky baby dust to all!!

Thank you so much mommydh. It is of great comfort to know I'm not alone in this journey! I don't think my HCG was very high when I mc because it wasn't showing on a hpt. I mc 4 days before christmas so I'm assuming it would have been back to 0 by the middle of Jan but I don't know that for sure. I'm kind of in the dark about the mc because I had not seen a Dr prior. I just know when the bleeding started I knew it was too early from my charting & the flow was very different from my period so I went to the health dept. They were the only one's who could get me in that day & so close to the holiday. They drew blood & told me I was pg but most likely experiencing a mc. I retested on christmas day to get a BFN :(. I was only 10dpo so 1 1/2wks. Not sure if it was a chemical or not but I'm very anxious to get back on the horse quickly. I'm so glad I will now be able to share my experiences with all of you wonderful ladies who understand. Thanks & lots of sticky baby dust!!

I really don't have any answers for you. Did they ever put you on Clomid, or are they waiting? It could have just been an annovulatory cycle and your body just never Oed and so it sent AF because it didn't know what else to do. But, if you continue to have the on and off bleeding every couple weeks, then I would certainly go back to the doctor. There are other tests they can do. If you've been TTC for over a year, they should be able to do a complete work-up. You had the HSG done (although I would think that if there was mucus in your tube, the dye should have blasted through that. I wouldn't necessarily take the mucus thing as the official diagnosis. When I had my HSG done, they told me that the dye hesitated before going into my tube, but that they can't know what caused the hesitation. It could have been clots, it could have been adhesions of some sort. But, it did finally blast through. I don't think they can tell from the HSG what exactly is causing a blockage. It could be mucus, but it also could be scar tissue of some sort. Can you get a 2nd opinion? You can get some more bloodwork done, too. Perhaps have them check for clotting factors and the typical infertility hormone work-up.

I hope that things straighten out, but definitely ask again about other causes for a blocked tube. Or ask for them to repeat the HSG to check to see if that "mucus" has drained.

I hope you get the answers you are looking for!

No worries! I have plenty of experience with TTC with infertility issues, but not as much as some of the other ladies here. I still ask a ton of questions since we did not have to use meds and never went through the extensive IF testing before we got pg with my DD. We did TTC for a total of 18 months (with a m/c in the midst of all that) the first time around TTC#1. Now we're TTC#2 and we've been at it 3 years. So, now we've gone through the gamut of testing (and I'm sure there's other stuff they can check for, too).

I hope that the bleeding stops and you can get on with TTC!
