Big (((HUGS))) Stacey, I'm so very sorry about your loss.
I think it' varies from doctor to doctor. In your situation I think that waiting the 4 weeks is a good thing, but should be fine to start TTC after that. I had an early miscarriage and my doctor just had me wait one cycle. You were alot farther along, and with the D&C I'm not sure how that would change it. I would think it would be a good idea to wait until you have your AF, just to make sure that your cycle is back on track.
I had a D&C and my dr. told me to wait 4 weeks to have sex, so no infection will creep in, then wait a cycle & then can try again.....I have a friend who has an older & wiser OB/GYN & she told my friend, once you have a D&C, your body is at it's most fertile, so take advantage of it & not to wait.
Hi Stacey! (first, I just want to say that I'm a March 2008 Clover Cutie mom also! I was mrsdavidson02 back then. My CC, Tyler, will be turning 4 on Tuesday. Can you believe it?!! There is a CC board on FB where most of us are now. Joy...our former board leader...is there too)
Anyway, I'm sooooo sorry to hear about your loss :( I miscarried baby #2 this weekend. I went to the doctor on Monday to have it confirmed and get an exam. She determined I wouldn't need a d&c b/c I was just 5 weeks along and it looked like my body was cleaning itself out on its own fairly well) My OB told me to get through this bleeding, and then have April and May AF and then can try after May's AF. She said she wanted my body to get back on schedule and normalized before we try again. DH wants to try again as soon as possible and I'm not opposed to it. It was hard experiencing a m/c, but there is still a baby out there for me. If by some chance I m/c again, I will probably be a lot more hesitant to try again for a while. The pain is just so awful. I hope you are recovering well and that the pain subsides soon. Good luck!

Cowboys_grl (sorry I don't know your first name!), can I ask how long after your d&c AF arrived? I'm sending baby dust to you that this is your month!
