Hey Ladies,
I was in the hospital Saturday and ended up having a miscarriage. I was only about 5 weeks along but it still hurts like hell. We were so excited. We have been trying for our first child since March 2010.
I spoke to the doctor today and he said we can start trying again as soon as I stop bleeding. Whenever I feel ready pretty much. I've debated taking this month off, but I also know that it took me a while the first time so I don't know. We might end up trying again this month. I'm not sure if I will ovulate or not. I really don't know what to expect but I guess it might be worth a try.
Do you think it's too soon to try again? The doctor says its ok but I've heard other people say they were told to wait a month to 3 months. I just know if we get a BFP again someday I'll be worried it will happen again. I'm just so ready to be a mommy and can't believe this happened to us. :smileysad:
I hope all of you are doing well and send you lots of baby dust!

Hi Katie,
First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry for your recent loss. I know it isn't easy and it is daunting starting the process over. Did you have a D&C or did you miscarry naturally? I think sometimes it depends on how you miscarry as to what the doctor recommends. I had an ectopic and my RE told me to wait 3 months. I think if your doctor gave you the go ahead to try when you are ready. It is a lot to take in.
Hugs....

I miscarried naturally, I think that is why we might not have to wait long. Saturday at the ER my levels were lower than what would show up on an hpt and then I went in for a blood draw yesterday and they were down to 0. Thanks for your support. I wish nobody ever had to go through this but it's comforting having such wonderful women to help get you through.

Hopefully your stay here will be short and sweet. Ask any questions you need to - there are LOTS of very knowledgeable women here.

Hi Katie.
Hi Katie,
Sorry for your loss. It hurts no matter how far along you are. I know for me I become instantly attached as soon as I see that BFP. It's hard to go through and I'm sorry you've had to experience it.
As for waiting to TTC my doctor told me the same as yours-go for it as soon as I get my first period. No need to wait. For me it's the emotional part that is making me think that I should wait-not sure if I will try again or not. So if you are emotionally ready I think that's the most important thing.
Best of luck, lots of (((((hugs))))), and I hope you will have a H&H nine months next time around.

Hi Katie,
Welcome. I'm sorry you have to be here. I miscarriage is gut-wrenching, no matter how far along you are. I think that some doctors want women to wait after a miscarriage so that they can date a new pregnancy from the last period (unless there are complications for whatever reason). If your doctor says that it's OK to try again right away & you're emotionally ready, then go for it. I hope you find the support your need here & that your stay here is short. I hope you get your sticky bean very soon.
Thank's so much ladies! You are all very kind and helpful. Have a great week, and lot's of baby dust!

I am very sorry for your loss, Katie.
Our miscarriages sound very similar.
