Hi my name his Angela, I lost my son on April 16th, 2010. He was 22 weeks. Hubby and I are in our third month of ttc and I was wondering a few things.

Does anybody know about the Instead Softcups? If they really work or if its bologna?

I was also wondering if you have any suggestion on what I should be doing that I'm not doing already. Like foods, drinks, positions, stuff like that.

Hoping we all get our BFP's soon and thank you for any advice!!

Hi Angela. I am so sorry for the loss of your son! I personally havent used the instead cups, but I've heard great things about them from IRL friends! We may try them here shortly as well! As far as positions, I dont really have any suggestions except to maybe keep your bottom half slightly elevated for 5-10 min after BDing to let those spermies swim away! (My ob told me to try this) Since we're TTC again, I'm just making sure I take my multi vitamin everyday (prenatals make me very sick!!) and I'm taking a Folic Acid supplement (I'm getting a total of 800mcg of folic acid a day now!) I'm also trying to eat healthy balanced meals and drink tons of water and limit my caffiene. Also since we're TTC I'm not allowing myself to drink at all! I could really use a nice glass of wine, and I may have one if AF does indeed show here soon.

Are you using OPK's? Have you tried the sperm meets egg plan? http://www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm

We usually try to BD alteast every other day after AF is gone, so that way we arent too worn out!

Sorry to ramble! I hope you get your BFP soon!!

Im so sorry for your loss.

As for your questions. The books I found most helpful were Making Babies & Infertility Cure. Both include lots of suggestions on food & supplements based on your body. Making babies has a website that answers some of your questions based on your responses

http://www.makingbabiesprogram.com/questionnaire/index.php

Ive tried Instead cups, I know some ppl swear by them. The 2 or 3 times Ive tried them got me no where for whatever that worth.

Thank you for the advice. I haven't had and alcholic beverage in 2 months!!! I just stopped drinking soda and have limited myself to juice and water. Lots and lots of water. I am still taking my prenatal vitamins, but should I take and extra folic acid? I have seen the website yet,, but I will definitely look at it thank you so much. You aren't rambling, you gave me lots of great advice :)!! Hubby and I have been trying for 6 years to have a baby and to start a family!!! Hoping we get our BFP's soon. I heard eating pineapple helps? I'm thinking about using the cups soon too, just not sure if the product is good or not!! :) Any other advice is appreciated thank you so much for all of the advice.

The reason I'm now taking a Folic Acid supplement is bc my multi vitamin only has 400mcg in it and my prenatal's had 800mcg. So I figured the extra 400mcg I'm taking equals what's in my prenatals and they say it's super good for you while TTC and in the early weeks of pregnancy so I say it doesnt hurt! But make sure you dont take too much! (I believe your supposed to max out at like 1000mcg a day)

I hope the website atleast gives you some insight into maybe something else to try! KUP on if you try the instead cups! I would love more feedback on them!

Welcome, so sorry for your loss! I agree with what the others said. I read the same books and am trying supplements such as calcium, baby aspirin, prenatal, b6, and fish oil, plus a few others, good luck getting a bfp soon! Jen

I'm so sorry about your son.

After 2 years of infertility, we conceived with our second IUI. In addition to the IF treatment, I ate 1/5 of a pineapple per day for the 5 days after IUI. I took a baby aspirin from the IUI date until the BFP because I heard it helps with implantation, and I take an extra folic acid.
