New Here...Miscarrying a 2nd time I think...Could use some insight...

Okay, so I'm new here, but I'm hoping you ladies might be able to give a little insight or at least just listen since this is something most of the people in my world don't understand (they try, they just can't).

I have 2 happy healthy kids, a 5 year old son & a 2 year old daughter (they'll be 6 & 3 in about a month). Last August my hubby & decided the timing was about right to have #3, so I got my BC taken out & we went about the business of getting prego. With my first 2 we never had any trouble, got it on the first try no problem. This time, it took a little longer (2 months), but still seemed to go great. At around 5 1/2 weeks pregnant I started spotting off & on for about 2 weeks. We had an ultrasound at 7 weeks & saw a heartbeat! I couldn't believe that we could see it so early, but the baby was measuring a week too small, so we scheduled another one the next week, at 8 weeks the baby had not grown at all, and they told me miscarriage was imminent. So, miscarriage happened, over Thanksgiving no less, but we got through it, went on with life and were hopeful that we had "gotten it over with" so to speak & that the next time would be easy.

Fast forward to New Years Eve, AF shows up for the first time post miscarriage & I'm actually glad that it's here as we wanted to wait a couple of months to be sure that things were back to normal before trying again. Fast forward again to Jan 25, 2012, I started spotting pretty heavy for a couple of hours and then nothing the rest of the day, but I assume that AF is imminent. A week goes by & NOTHING, so I go out & buy a pg test, intending to take it in the morning. Well wouldn't you know the next day AF, or so I think, finally shows up. It's pretty heavy/normal for a couple of days, and then slows down to light spotting for 2 weeks. Yes, I said WEEKS.

So this past Tuesday (Valentines Day, go figure!)

Hey everyone, I just wanted to update again. Sorry that I haven't been on all week, life has been nuts, and honestly I've been trying not to think about all of this as much as possible, but I'm sure you know how hard that is...

So, last Monday. I went in Monday morning, got my blood draw done & then started the wait. I think Monday had to have lasted 48 hours all by itself...Tuesday morning I finally got the call from my Doc., my numbers had gone up, but only from 65 on Friday to 73 on Monday. So no doubling, only "hovering" as my Dr. put it. She said that she didn't think it was a good idea to test every 48 hours at this point, and wanted to wait until this coming Monday to test again. She said things could still go either way, but that it was good that I was mentally preparing myself for things to go South. So, needless to say it's been a VERY long week...

On the bright side. No spotting the entire week! =0) Also, ever since Wednesday, I've had what are typical pg symptoms for me. Really gassy & bloaty, my abdomen feels like someone is trying to stretch it, and (I know this will sound wierd) I'm not getting a migraine when I eat Sugar right now. Normally not prego me will start to get a really bad headache that will turn into a full blown, put me into bed for 2 days with no noise & no light, migraine when I eat sugar. The only time that doesn't happen is when I'm pg. Sooooo.....I've been kind of pigging out on the sugar the last few days...(maybe thats where the gassiness is coming in...lol!)

Today has been a wierd day though, if I wasn't pg, I would have been due to get AF today, and thank goodness she has stayed away! I've been a hormonal irritable mess though watching for her all day...

Anyway, thats pretty much it for now, just waiting till Monday to get blood drawn again & then Tuesday to find out whats going on. I'm trying so hard not to think about it, but it's also never more than half a thought away.

Wishing baby dust & sticky vibes for all of you & I'll update on Tuesday (I promise not to be so delinquent this time!)

Well, I got my numbers back today, 61. So they are still hovering. Just to recap, it was 65 last Friday, 73 the following Monday and 61 yesterday, one week since the last draw. The OB that I see is a Certified Nurse Midwife in a large practice here in Nashville, they were with me through my last pregnancy, and the last miscarriage, but after talking to her today she's reffering me out to another OB/GYN MD that she works with because she's not sure what's going on. She mentioned the possibilities of Ectopic or even trophoblastic disease (Molar pg), but said I need to see someone who's better versed in these things. Either way it looks like it's not going to be a successful pregnancy this time around. They are trying to get me into the new Dr. asap to figure out what's going on, & I'll keep you posted when I go.

Just curious, but does anyone here have any experience personally with either and ectopic pregnancy or a molar pregnancy? I don't want to freak myself out, but I'd also like to know what to look for & what questions to ask the new Dr.

Thanks & I hope all is well with all of you!
