Not sure if I should be here yet or not...

I'm Jennifer (29), and I'm waiting on my 2nd m/c to happen. I went in for my 9 week appointment last Wednesday, and there was no heartbeat. We had seen the hb at 7wks 2days, so I was in complete shock. The baby was measuring within 2 days, and the yolk sac was not enlarged, so the dr double-checked on a newer machine, but no hb. I haven't started spotting or cramping yet. I have an appt on Friday, and I will probably request a d&c for next Tuesday. I have to leave on a business trip on the 17th, otherwise I would just wait for the m/c to happen naturally. With my first m/c, I never saw the hb, so this has been really hard on me. At first, I wasn't sure when I would want to get pg again, but now I know I don't want to wait too long. I have one DS (18 months) in between the m/c's.

(((Jennifer))) I'm so sorry for your loss. You most definitely can be posting here. Even if you are still waiting for a D&C or Natural Miscarriage, you are going through miscarriage and most definitely should lean on us, if you need to. Thinking of you and I hope that you don't have to wait for a D&C and things will happen on their own, but I'm sure that they would understand if you do need to have one so that you aren't unsure of things while on your business trip. I imagine it would not be preferred to have you potentially miscarrying while you're away from home. (((HUGS)))

Thank you all so much for your warm welcome. I had a follow-up appt today, and the dr says the m/c will most likely

Hi Jennifer, I'm in the same exact position... No hb at 9weeks. I'm going to request a d&c on Friday if I don't miscarry by then

I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. I just had a d&c in Aug (saw hb at 5 1/2 weeks but no hb at 7 1/2, opted for d&c due to trip also). I hope that your weekend is going ok as well as it can be considering. I know how hard that time between knowing you are going to m/c and it actually being done can be mentally, physically, and emotionally.

I am so sorry you are going through this, too. Miscarriage is so difficult. My d&c was a week and a half ago (2 weeks Tuesday). I'm feeling better, but I still get sad when I see other people's ultrasound photos or pregnancy updates. I think that will take some time to get used to. (Hugs) I hope you are doing as well as possible, too. Did you schedule your d&c yesterday?
