Pregnancy after MC
Wed, 07-27-2011 - 11:58am

Hi everyone, I had a MC on May 31. I was told by doctor to wait 3 months and try again. I had my menstruation on June 30 and it was rather normal and not painful as I was told it would be.I guess that is a good sign. My partner and I were being very careful while having sex however I am experiencing some pregnancy symptoms for the past few days such as nausea and peeing a lot. So I guess we were not careful enough. I am really worried that if I am pregnant that it is too soon after MC and that I could MC again. I will wait few more days to see if I get my period and if not then I will take the test but I cannot stop worrying that it is too soon. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Recent research has showed that waiting 3 months after a m/c or not waiting at all makes no difference to the outcome of a pregnancy, so don't worry and please post down in the BFP section if you get a postive in a few days.

Waiting 3 months is kind of the old school way of thinking so I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long as a period has come and gone you're probably fine. Plenty of women get pg the cycle after a loss and go on to have healthy pregnancies with no problems at all. FX for you :)

Having had a normal period is a tell tale sign that your body is already back on track. Relax. And praise God for your swift recovery. Look forward to hearing your confirmation!

hi, i am just finishing up with my m/c... today is the first day so far with no bleeding. when i was talking with my doctor, she said there is no reason to wait any length of time if you are emotionally ready to start trying again. she said some people wait one cycle just to help with dating the pregnancy, but it seems like that should be pretty easy to figure out, especially with ultrasounds. so if you're about to see a BFP, i think you have nothing to worry about in regards to it being too early! good luck!

thanks everyone for replies but I just got my period. I still have the symptoms like nausea but maybe it is from something else. We had a takl last night and will start trying again after this cycle.

I know I'm late to the post, but I wanted to pass along my experience.
