So I Guess It's Starting... Relieved and Sad

So this morning as I went to sit up in bed my sides had an intense sharp pain which lasted for about a minute. Then off and on today I have been having cramping and spotting. Now my stomach is starting to REALLY cramp up and I'm so glad my dh is coming home from work soon and that there was no school for the kids today or tomorrow. However I think I will have to send my dh to my daughter's school conference that I was looking forward to (she's been struggling but has shown lots of improvement-or at least I think). I was planning on taking her out for a treat afterwards but now that just isn't going to happen.

About a week ago I had a little bit of spotting (from pushing #2-tmi sorry) and I thought that was it but then nothing. So I didn't really take it serious when I saw some spotting this morning. But now that the spotting has been going on all day and the cramps are becoming more intense I finally think it is happening.

I guess I am relieved to have it starting and knowing that it will all be over soon enough. But at the same time I am very sad and heartbroken but trying to keep myself together in front of the kids and my daycare (school aged) children (no school so they are here all day today and tomorrow).

Just wanted to give an update and to say thank you so much to the supportive ladies of this message board. You've really helped me get through these past few weeks and while I may not post much I do read a lot of the threads and have all of your ladies in my thoughts and prayers.

Karen,
I'm so sorry. You're obviously a very strong woman, to be able to wait this out and continue working while going through your miscarriage. You're in my thoughts. {{HUGS}}

Oh Karen - I am so sorry - hugs to you. I'm glad that you are finding the support you need here - this is such a horrible thing to go through and as supportive as DH can be, he just doesn't get it like we do. Please KUP on how you are doing and if you need us for anything.

Oh Karen, I am so so sorry that youre having to go through another miscarriage. I remember you posting your BFP, and I was so hoping that this would turn out a different way for you. :(

Its nice that your kids dont have school tomorrow, so youre out of the normal routine, but I hope that the other kids you take care of dont put too much of a strain on you right now. And I hope that you have plenty of loving, supportive people around you IRL to help you through what will be some very sad days...

Please let us know if there is any way that WE can help you.

Hey Karen,

How are you feeling today? I was wondering about you a few days ago. Hope everything it going OK and you're not in too much pain :(

Sounds like you've been really strong during all of this and especially the past couple of days.

Thinking of you,

B

WARNING: May be a bit too much TMI.

Hi B,

Thanks for checking up on me. I am doing alright. It's all been VERY slow going. I've had 2 days of light spotting, a day of red blood (only when I wiped), and now today I am starting to pass clots and having bright red blood.

I'm wondering how you can tell if its tissue or a clot? I think I read that it is different in color? I'm just wondering how long I am going to bleed for before I start actually passing the tissue.

The cramps haven't been too bad so far. I do get pains in the sides and what feels like severe period cramps in my lower ab and sometimes its more mild. Right now they are actually starting to hurt quite a bit-so I am going to go. Is it true you shouldn't take a bath?
