The wait is totally frustrating. But I think it's normal for some woman to go longer before getting AF again. My doctor told me that it could take up to 8 weeks for it to return...but 4-6 is more around average. I am on CD 42 after a natural miscarriage on March 11th. I just ovulated four days ago on CD 38. I think it just took my body longer to regroup after the miscarriage, but I have been tracking my BBT and other fertility signs and can now see that my body has been returning to normal over the course of the past week and 1/2. When I experienced my first miscarriage almost 2 years ago, AF was back after 4 weeks, so I was expecting the same thing to happen this time around. I guess not only is every woman different, but the same woman's experience of loss can vary each time.
Sorry to hear your m/c and frustration. I don't have any experience with waiting a long time as I started bleeding within a week of each of my early losses. If you are worried that it's taking too long, you could go back to the ob/gyn and talk about doing a d&c. I hope you get a sticky BFP very soon! ~Katie
After 6 weeks, my doc gave me a prescription to bring af back. It's worth asking your doc about, they may tell you to wait it out, or they may give you a prescription to get it going.
Wow! I believe the ones that have gotten AF 2-3 weeks after a miscarriage are among the rare ones. After my m/c and D&C, I bled for about 3 weeks, and then two weeks after my bleeding stopped, I got AF. So, a total of about 5 weeks. I tend to agree - 4-6 weeks is the average and like Julia said, if AF doesn't show up after about 8 weeks, then maybe give the doctor a call - perhaps they would need to jump start things. But, I really wouldn't worry unless you get to that point. It really IS hard to wait though. Every day of waiting seems like an eternity. We've all been there. (((HUGS))) I hope that AF signs start showing up soon and you can get on with TTC again. Until then, I hope you'll jump in here, find something to occupy your mind, and get out for walks and such! :)
Hello, I am so sorry for your loss, we all understand the wanting to get right back at TTC after a loss, unfortunately everyone is different and there is no set in stone answer to that question. I had a natural m/c at 7 weeks, bled for 3 weeks, and AF didn't show again for 5 weeks. You will get a different story from every woman on here I'm sure.

Aww, sorry that you're still waiting.
