Ok. Not that this is a big deal or will hinder my positivity. But i wanted to lay this out there and get some feedback.

It is great to be positive about it! As you stated, OPK will tell you when it is below 25 or so, so it could be possible to have negative but still have positive hcg. It took me about 2 weeks to get to a negative hcg...so I am sure you are almost there.

I'm sorry for your loss.

For reasons unknown, there doesn't seem to be a steady rate of falling HCG. I'm actually a little surprised you had a blood draw on the 2nd if it was 900 on that Monday. My doctor has had me come back about 2 weeks later, just to make sure my body has had enough time to process. I would guess that if it was 13 on the 7th, it's gone now, but you should have another blood test to be sure - your body won't start operating normally again until the HCG is below 5. Have you had a period yet? That will also indicate if the HCG has dropped below 5.

My HCG was really high when I m/c - like 110,000. It fell super fast at first - to 4500 within 2 weeks. But then it took it's sweet time. It took 3 weeks for it to get below 5 once it hit 30! Crazy. BUT I did get AF and ovulated while I still had small amounts of HCG in my system (more than you do) and I got pg on that cycle. Good luck!

Were you using OPK's or HPT's? OPK's aren't supposed to be used to detect your HCG levels, so there might be some inaccuracy if that was what you were using.

But, otherwise, if you were tracking HCG with HPT's, then I agree...levels drop at different rates. It might also be that the higher the number, the faster it falls, but perhaps it takes longer once your levels get down to lower numbers? Not entirely sure. But, also, your body won't start back up with regular cycles again until your levels go back to zero and even then, it might take a little while for your hormones level out again. It might be more than just HCG hormone levels, but your estrogen and progesterone to level out, too. (((HUGS))) Miscarriage is not easy. And when you're ready to move on, sometimes it's hard to watch your body not cooperating and getting back to "normal."

The LH/HCG thing is tricky. Here is the simple way to explain it. HCG mimics LH but LH cannot mimic HCG. So an OPK will be + if you have HCG in your urine, but HPT's will not become + if you have elevated levels of LH in you urine. So although OPK's are inaccurate as HPT's then can be used to roughly estimate whether or not HCG levels are dropping or gone.

I didnt have a blood draw on the 2nd. I was peeing on OPK stix. The hcg and lh molecules are strikingly similar so whether than waste expensine hcg tests i wasted opk stix. if ur hcg is high, u will get positive opk. I got my first neg opk on sat the 2nd which tells me my hcg was below or around 20ish. i didnt actually get my blood drawn until almost two weeks after the 900. 900 was monday the 27th, next draw was thurs the 7th.

Also, id like to point out that ur hcg doesnt have to b zero. Many women starting ovulating and AFing with hcg's as high as the 50s. I havent had AF yet. I WAS tracking ovulation but then it started stressing me out, so i quit bc i know O wont come if i keep scaring it away. I am trying to work on my "Law of Attraction" which i highly recommend. Google it.

Lots of cramping going on yesterday and today so i am PRAYING it is ovulation. My husbands work calender works against us as far as ttc. He works in the gulf and EVERY month i freak cuz we miss or damn near miss our window. I think the trick with my body is to get AHEAD of ovulation. Not wait till o and then "try".

Also, i have been working out regularly which i think will help me and HAS helped me tremendously. I believe that is why my hcg dropped to fast.

on a side not, how do you put ur little "run down" at the bottom of ur posts. ????

I agree that your HCG doesn't have to be zero, but it does have to be below 5. Anything over 5 is technically a positive pregnancy test/level, so I don't think it's true that you can have an HCG level of 50 when you are ovulating and having AF - 50 HCG is pregnant.

Kelly, you'd think so right? But I know for a fact that my HCG was not below 5 when I got AF for the first time after my D&C because I'd had a blood test that day. I also know it wasn't below 5 when I ovulated. I got pg that cycle. I didn't think it could happen either.
