ttc after miscarriage of first baby at 44

So this is for my sister because I am trying to help her out any way I can. She found out a few weeks ago that she was pregnant with her first child at 44. She hadn't really planned to have kids but once she found out she was pregnant she was thrilled. She had a miscarriage yesterday with a dnc scheduled for later this week because of it. She is worried about whether or not she should try again because of her age a d if so, how long should she wait. Her doctor is less than helpful about this. She is actually going to switch doctors just because of how her doctor treated her during this. Other than being 44 she is healthy. Walks daily, eats well, doesn't smoke, and is a healthy weight. And advice/input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
If she wants to try again, she can as soon as the bleeding stops following her D&C providin she is ready emotionally. Some drs say wait til your first AF or wait 3 cycles but recent research has shown that there is no increased risk of m/c from conceiving straight away. She will have a slightly increased risk of m/c because of her age (normally 15% but increases to 20-35% at age 35) but this could be her only chance so my advice would be to go for it!
