Ok so I called the fertility clinic in my area and they were able to get me in for an hour long initial visit next Tuesday! I'm amazed they are able to get me in so soon. So if AF doesn't come in full force for a day or 2 (still just having spotting) I MAY be able to do clomid. For those of you who've been to the RE before what things should I request and what kinds of questions should I ask?

I would ask about Femara also. It acts very similar to Clomid even though it isn't approved for fertility treatments. It is a breast cancer drug but has been prescribed by some doctors for infertility. After researching both drugs, we decided on Femara because it doesn't thin you lining and has less side effects. With that being said, some people love Clomid and it works just fine. I know that Clomid is cheaper.

I would also talk about percentages for each procedure (if you choose to do any). For example, when I did my IUI they said my chances were about 13% but a friend had only a 1% chance with an IUI. It is good to weigh cost verses chance.

I would also verify what the plan of action is (ex. if taking Clomid do you have to go in around day 12 for an ultrasound, etc). It is hard to get REs on the phone and usually end up talking to a nurse.

Good luck!
