And I was feeling so good about this cycle - RE nurse just called and said my prog level was 11 today at 7 dpo.

If your progesterone at 11 is bad, then mine must be worse at 7.2! I try to tell myself that it went up by 2 points every day and that I was only at 5DPO instead of 7. By interpolation, that would mean I would be at 11 by 7DPO. The RE said that 7.2 at 5DPO is fine and that I definitely ovulated. Hang in there! We'll get through this!

Nah, you can't associate the two. Short LP and Progesterone deficiancy are not always mutually exclusive. Progesterone has to drop pretty low before AF will start but it could still be really low say 4 or 5 which would may be enough to keep AF away (therefore no noteable LP defect) but you would still have a Progesterone deficiancy. Does that make sense? Now you CAN apply that the other way around. If you have a short LP you def. have a Progesterone problem of some kind. Either it hovers really low or is normal and then plummets early but either scenario can be classified as a Progesterone problem that could be solved with supplements.
