IUI today and DH sperm count was VERY low for him. Only 2.2 million washed. His counts have been 39 and 24 mil the last two IUI's... I was fighting back tears and was heartbroken when I called DH to tell him because he was crushed... I've never heard disappointment in his voice during the last year of trying until today. He's been sick and my acupunturist said stress and low immune system are the two biggest causes of low sperm. But what's done is done and we can only hope for the best... Chelle - mark me down for testing on 11/17, but I may cheat and test 11/14 as that is our one year wedding anniversary... wouldn't that be the best anniversary gift?

Off to pampered myself with an 80 minute facial...

(((HUGS))) Ann.... I'm hoping DH's count was just on the low side because there is one SUPER SPERM in there!

Ann - I know this isn't the same thing but I will never forget my first Femara IUI cycle. There was only one measly follicle. They even took me aside and asked me if I wanted to cancel the IUI and save the money for next cycle. I went ahead with it and cried all the way home. I got a BFP 12 days later. Sometimes, when it seems that all hope is lost you get a little surprise :) Chin up, girl!

Oh, sweetheart, I feel your pain. And I know my DH can relate. They take it so personally and feel so guilty about it. My DH was also sick the week before. Another change we're making is he is taking a 3 week course of Ibuprophen to reduce any swelling that may be in there (200mg, twice a day). I asked him to stop putting the laptop directly on his lap as it may be getting his boys too warm and DH also mentioned he puts his hot coffee cup in his lap.

We'll send each other virtual hugs through this 2WW and do our best next time if necessary.

A BFP would be a great anniversary gift. :smileyhappy: I have my IUI tomorrow so I don't know the sperm count yet. Hopefully it will work for both of us.

Ann, Im so sorry I know youm ust be completely crushed and heartbroken! And the fact that DH was so upset about it too just adds to the stress and disappointment of it all. Maybe stress and sickness did have a lot to do with his low sperm count (it doesnt sound like his numbers have ever been that low before). But dont give up hope yet - it only takes one little swimmer to meet that egg and make it happen! Here's hoping that you get your anniversary wish.

Sorry on the low count Ann.

Think of it this way, if the last counts were good & nothing happened maybe a low count is better as they are higher quality & have a better fight :)

I knew I was right about it! Well, I can't take his computer privelages away, but I'm making him sit differently.
