Clomid cycle 2

So I called my nurse line to report cd 1. The nurse called me back and said the doctor wants me to do same cycle as last......clomid 25 mg cd 5-9, u/s cd 13, trigger shot, then progesterone cream after o. I asked her if he wanted me to increase clomid she said no his notes were very specific to do 25 due to my results of last cycle he doesn't want to overstimulate. Last cycle I got positive opk on cd 13 and showed one follicle 21 and two others that were 17 and 15 I think. I've always ovulated on my own so the clomid is more for quality and maturity of egg. What do you guys think? Would increasing to 50 even be beneficial for me or put me at higher risk for multiples. Ironically he was going to start me on 50 the first cycle and I convinced him to do 25 because I was scared of having too many follies. I think if this cycle doesn't work my doctor wants me to consider iui as he already mentioned it. Not sure if dh is ready for that, not sure if I am. Why can't I just get pregnant naturally, ughhh!!!!!!! Why can't we all just get our bfp's without all this insanity.

I really have no answers for you, other than requesting that you try a higher Clomid dose before moving straight to IUI. (((HUGS))) I'm sorry AF showed. I ask myself the same question all the time - why can't we all just get our bfp's without all this heartache?

I agree with the dr in this case. a 21, 17, 15 and two other mature follicles is PLENTY and much more than that then you DO risk stimulation. There is no reason to up your dose when you are responding so well to the dose you're on. Clomid thins CM and the lining and you don't want to increase this risk if you don't want to.
