Clomid girls? Qs?

Ok, so step one, getting into the fertility specialist, check.
I'm booked in for 11/30.
Now, next hurdle, how do I get him to give me Clomid? The GP suggested looking at ovulation induction with the specialist and it seems from my (limited internet) research that Clomid is the most prescribed and first-step medication where I live.
How many months were you TTC before going on Clomid?
How did you know you weren't ovulating?
Did you have PCOS or cysts? (I have multiple small follicles on the ovarian periphery? Is this consisent with PCO? Also two dermoids, one on each ovary).
Is the difficult part getting into the RE, or getting the RE to prescribe something for you?
Thanks!
Look forward to hearing from you about your experiences.
PS, I'm very worried about going to the specialist as it is very costly and I'm scared he'll just tell me to TTC a little longer (It's been 3 months of NTNP, 2months off and m/c, then 3 months of BDing EOD and nothing).

How many months were you TTC before going on Clomid? 1 year and 8 months... Although, they were willing to give it to me after 1 year, but i was hesitant. Now that I had it once, i jump on it every time we are TTC :)
How did you know you weren't ovulating? They ran tests for 9 months and found that none of those 8 months did i produce an egg...
Did you have PCOS or cysts? (I have multiple small follicles on the ovarian periphery? Is this consisent with PCO? Also two dermoids, one on each ovary). Uhmm m they have mentioned that just because I have irregular cycles when not on meds, but nothing officially diagnosed
Is the difficult part getting into the RE, or getting the RE to prescribe something for you? Never been. I still use my MW who for the most part can take care of everything besides IUI or IVF :)
I was TTC for about a year and a half with 2 m/cs before being put on Clomid.
Clomid is usually pretty easily prescribed by all doctors.
I appreciate your response. Have a lovely evening!

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it. I hope I don't have to have 9 mon ths of tests as well before they prescribe me. Interesting to know your MW prescribes your Clomid, I hadn't heard of that before!

Thanks, I feel the same - can't hurt to try! The worst he can say is "not yet".
I'm interested to hear what he says, the metformin sounds great as I have the same problem with AFs.
