Final IVF consult
26
Thu, 05-26-2011 - 2:01pm

We went in this morning and had our final IVF consult. It involved doing a practice ET to measure and make sure everything would go smoothly the day of. We sat with the RE and discussed everything:

1. I apparently don't need to worry about not making enough eggs or about AMA or about menopause. My FSH, LH and estrogen are "always good" and my AMH is "a very high 6.0". She said that my antral count is awesome and that because of how well I always respond to meds (even just letrazole)

YAY! Chouli, that is a great plan and I'm so excited for you. FX that this IVF is your BFP!

Great appointment Chouli!

With ICSI - they can always try to fertilize the old fashioned way and I believe they can tell if the sperm aren't doing what they need to, they can do an "emergency" ICSI at the last minute. Double check with your RE - that way, you'll have a back up plan if you need it. I have faith that when they sprinkle some of DH in a petri dish, that one of them is going to find it's way to that egg and you'll be good to go!!!!

And lucky duck on the med and no lupron!!!! GL!!!

Sounds great, but does it need to be refrigerated (is it still good)? The pharmacy hasn't called yet, so I guess I could just tell them to send a little less than was ordered...?

It doesn't have to be refrigerated. I just got them in February so I imagine they are still good. I'm never home when I've checked this site so I'll do it as soon as I get home today--in about an hour or so--& let you know what I have exactly & what they say as far as dosage and such.
