Follie check - Day 12 :)

I am so excited that I can post here again since this is my first cycle we are trying after the ectopic. The appt went well and my numbers are as follows:

Lining - 8.8

Right: 14, 11
Left: 13, 10, 9

My RE said I was responding well and will do the Ovidrel shot tomorrow early evening and IUI on Thursday morning. He thinks 2 will drop for sure which I am happy about. He gave us a 17-19% chance of conceiving this cycle which is up a bit from our first IUI cycle of 12-13%. I asked the RE what would be the plan of action if this cycle didn't take. He said that because I did conceive and I am responding well to Femara that we should do this for many cycles because the chances are good that it will work again. I am hoping he is right and I won't have to move on to the injectables or IVF stage. One never knows but I hope this cycle is it. If not, I won't have to wait 3 months again to try which is very cool. I am trying to stay positive and not think about the 80 plus % that it won't work this cycle and if it DOES work that it will end tragically again. I am super excited. :smileyhappy:

Wow, they're having you trigger with a 13 and a 14? When I had follicles that size, I normally had to wait at least two more days when they reached about 18 for them to tell me to trigger.

Anyway, you do seem to be responding to the Femara and that lining is great! I will keep my FX for you! You conceived your first IUI cycle so I have high hopes for you this cycle also! I think you have

I just called the nurse because you mentioned the trigger shot might be too early. She said they like to see a minimum size of the follicle at 15 with a high end of 17 and my follicles will still grow before the IUI. She said that if you ovulate naturally (non-medicated) then you would need would need a higher number but with medicated cycles you don't. I am not really sure why.

So sorry hun - didn't mean to freak you out. You should absolutely trust your dr. They got you pg once so they have to be doing something right! :) I have never had an unmedicated IUI - I have always been on meds and I was never trigger before they saw a 17 at the earliest but like I said, trust your dr! God knows I don't know everything or I would be pg right now! LOL

Thanks ladies. I totally forgot to get my husband's sample cup today so I need to go tomorrow to get so he can have it for his 7:30 AM donation on Thurs. My hubby won't use "the room" at the clinic and I am glad we live under 30 minutes away.
