No, you're not wrong. You have a right to be satisfied with the answer your doctor gives you. If you feel like your doctor is not being aggressive/concerned enough on your behalf, definitely have a consultation and ask for more answers.

You are normal, but how were your Little Ones? Did you get genetic testing done? My DH and I are normal and genetically compatible, but we made a LO with Patau's Syndrome. 1 in 10,000 chance.

I am kinda surprised your doctor is making the leap from no intervention to IVF with nothing in between. I suppose that could be due to your age, but I know some ladies who get IUI and are older than you are. I'm not surprised he's asking you to try naturally 4-5 more times especially

Oh yes, there are def steps that can be taken before IVF! Here are the steps:

First you could try oral meds alone (Clomid, Femara)

Then you could do a hybrid cycle of oral meds and injectables

Then you could do a straight injectables cycle

Any of these can be done with or without IUI but IUI doesn't up your chance by a bit (although not as much as some of us would like to think).

I would def sit down with your dr and talk about these options before moving straight to IVF.

I'm sorry you're going through all of this. I totally feel your frustration on the "being normal" and not having the money for IVF. The other ladies already suggested everything I was going to suggest. My doc lets us do medicated cycles alone because we don't have any more money for IUI or IVF. It hasn't worked yet, but that doesn't mean it won't work this month, or next, so we just keep doing it.

I say definitely talk to your doc about the others, and if he/she isn't on board... it may be worth it to find a new doc. Good Luck!
