I went to pick up my new rx for endometrin which is what RE uses.
My ins co wont cover it & its $190 for 21 pills!
I got call back from Dr as pharmacy was going to call them but I didnt see VM until office was closed.
Of course the nurse is gone until Tues for holiday. Yippee, at least I dont need it now.

Why is nothing easy?

Dont know.
Im hoping the nurse has something good to tell me Tues. She's gone until then for long weekend.
Im on Prometrium now. I dont know how much it improves my levels but usually I can get a 12 day LP taking 400mg.

You are exactly right! It's so dumb that most insurance companies don't cover anything infertility related...I'm just glad that I can assist and I know it's good karma :)

Jamie, that is *so* nice of you to offer to Mindy! I am touched! I gave about $500 worth of Bravelle to Corrie a few months ago and I haven't regretted it since. DH was like "You're gonna send all these expensive drugs when you don't even know her???" I said

Mindy,

I don't post much, but visit the board everyday. Hope you don't think this is weird, but I have a few boxes of Endometrin left from before I miscarried last year and they expire in January. If you're interested, shoot me an email through my profile.

I know, its annoying!
They cover my Prometrium, they covered my natural progesterone suppositories made by compounding pharm but not this. Im not sure there is a generic. I guess I have to wait & see what nurse says on Tues.

So off topic..you live on the Galapagos Islands?
Ill always remember my 6th grade science teacher talking to us about her trip there & the turtles. IT must be amazing to live there!!

How frustrating! I hate insurance companies because they pull this crap. It is not like you would LIKE to take the meds if you didn't need them. Is that the generic one?
