I have felt lost lately since I don't have a plan and won't go back on my Femara for another few months.. I was doing some research and found taking soy iso is a lot like clomid? I can't believe in all my previous research and Internet googling, that I never saw this? Just curious.

I thought about it CW, but he wants me to take a cycle off. So, I want to look into it more! :smileyhappy:

Madpies - Thank you! I don't ovulate on my own. I have to take Femara, which is what I got pregnant on the first time, but then miscarried 4 weeks later. Since I have some "time off", waiting for my period. I thought there had to be something I could do myself for one cycle. The months I took Femara (3), I produced one egg each time, but wound up pregnant with two sacs initially, but only one heartbeat. I'm happy to hear a success story. I just may try that next time! :smileyhappy:

I have extensively googled soy, and I have tried it.  You take soy like you take Clomid, for five days near the beginning of your cycle.  I conceived DD after taking 120mg soy CD5-9.  If you are trying to make extra eggs, you take it earlier in your cycle, say CD1-5 or CD3-7.  If you're just looking to produce one "super egg", you should take it like I did, CD5-9.  It just produces a stronger O, I suppose.  I've tried it this time around, TTC #2, with no luck so far.  It can have some side-effects, though, such as headaches and hot flashes, so most women take it at night before bed.  Also, I've read that it can cause ovarian cysts, so take it with caution.

The reason I take soy sometimes is because I know my doctor won't do anything to help me get pregnant until I've been trying a year (which is coming up soon, actually), and I just want to boost my chances--as far as I can tell, I O fine on my own, but I have noticed when I take soy I have more CM and more "O pains".

Good luck to you!
