I know you guys must be sick to death of hearing about my RE appt details but I have to get this out as it is KIND OF bothering me.

Today we had our 2nd IUI. Post wash sperm count was 27 million which is GREAT but the motility was only 2. We have only ever had 4's and ONE time we had some 3's. See below for a chart of sperm grades.

So, of your 7 kids, a couple might be a little slow.... ;) FX for yesterday's IUI to take the cake (errr, the egg!)! :)

((HUGS)) Michelle please do not let today results take away the excitement of yesterday, remember it takes only one sperm and one egg slow, fast swimming crookedly it only take ONE!!! also remember this cycle we are all thinking positive giving in to the joy and excitement only positive thoughts no negative.

Sorry about the slow movers.
I cant imagine the highs & lows of each appt. Well I can since you post your feelings here ;) You know what I mean though.

Maybe the ebb & flow of DHs swimmers shows why its taking so long? Did they say why when its normally been higher what might cause it to be lower? I started giving DH CoQ10 which is supposed ot help quality of swimmers. Not that it helps now.

Good luck! Everything crossed for you!

Think of it this way: By having an IUI, you're putting DH's swimmers 3-4 inches closer to their goal. It doesn't sound like much, but when you're microscopic, every little bit helps! LOL!

Seriously though, sperm fertility and conception rates are a factor of both shear numbers and motility. The fact that you had a high sperm count will likely more than make up for the slightly sluggish motility. Besides, like you said, yesterday's swimmers were probably there at the right time anyway, so today's IUI has a bit of a safety net to fall back on.

Try not to worry too much!!!

Thanks, LaRae. I am thinking we're okay but you know how it is - any piece of news that leads you to believe you might have less of a chance weighs ya down a little.
