How do you TTC?

I thought we could what each of us are doing to TTC. Maybe some do things that others haven't though about?

I used to take my temp but I don't get consistent sleep anymore so I haven't been doing that. I take vitex (when I remember) up until ovulation. I use Wondfo OPKs cause they're really cheap and work :). I also check my cervical mucus and my cervix position/firmness/openess.

So, how do you TTC?

For the 1st pg we weren't doing anything other than DTD and prenatals. Then after the m/c I started temping & being more aware of CM and at the 3rd cycle I started using the OvaCue oral sensor portion only. Now I think along with prenatals, we will probably just DTD without trying to pinpoint O and see or maybe observe CM. I'm in the same boat as Nicolle, sleep is different now so I think temping will be more difficult.

I've been temping and checking cm for about a year - the first cycle I did that, I got pg, but then had the m/c. I just went back to the RE and had my blood checked, and my prolactin levels are high due to a small benign tumor on my pituitary. I'm off to get medication to bring that into balance today - so I'm hopeful that when we ttc this month, we might be successful. I've been using preseed, but the nurse practitioner said it was better to use canola oil, so I'll be trying that this month (sounds messy, though!). I also bought soft caps b/c we had a problem with leaking - we usually dtd before i need to head off to work, and 15 min. of downtime seemed to be too little a few months back. We go back to the RE next week - he may want to also put me on clomid. The good news is, my follicles all look good, so that is encouraging, even though i'm 36.

We use preseed, I took that fertility tea for one cycle, which really helped with the CM, and sex drive. didnt get pregant using it though, but I think thats because we dont DTD enough...  I also take robitussen/mucinex( the cough medicine to improve CM)

and more recently, the cycle on Im now, my obgyn prescribed me clomid 100mg. if I dont get my bfp this cycle, Im going to try charting and using OPKs... Oh and I bought some fertile CM online, but that didnt arrive in time to use it this cycle... so will try next cycle! hopefully all that works!

My DH is actually very involved with our TTC. He has the fertility friend (it helps you track your cycles) app on his phone so he always knows where I am in the cycle. He actually likes it when it's time to ovulate because then he's guaranteed sex, lol. You could maybe talk to him and see how he would feel about it? Everyone is different.

I'm not sure we'll ever be able to really try to conceive on purpose.............I would like to make the effort (though I didn't have trouble getting pregnant the first time, or the second time either apparently)...............but my husband and I have a good sex life, and I'm really afraid that placing expectations on it (or making the only focus of it getting pregnant) would really stress him out and cause problems - he has a super stressful job, and doesn't need me chasing after him with the intention of sex only for the purpose of getting pregnant...........I don't want to mess up what's already very good, so I don't know that I'll ever temp, or even try to track when I ovulate. We'll probably just not try to stop it and see what happens..............I could track it, but he'd probably figure it out and feel stressed. How do your spouses feel about trying to conceive? Are they supportive? Do they feel stressed by making the deed only about getting pregnant?
