I am so upset about this. It is for my anatomy 2 class this semester. I am not sure I will be able to get through it. Am I being silly? Crystal

You can chase a butterfly all over the field and never catch it. But if you sit quietly in the grass it will come and sit on your shoulder.~Anonymous

Hey Crystal,

I had to dissect a fetal pig in HS... now I wasn't where I am now in my life but the only thing that REALLY bothered me was the smell.... it will be ok!

Good Luck Crystal,

I actually got a kick out of dissecting a fetal pig. Their organs are very much like ours. The hardest part is getting past the odor. The next hardest thing is dissecting a human cadaver. It was totally fascinating! My cadaver was a tiny little old lady with very little muscle mass with the sweetest expression on her face. I am gonna stop before you think I am sick or something. I got passed being upset about dissecting the pig when I looked at it from an educational stand point.

Good Luck Crystal!

((hugs)) You will be just fine. You must be interested in bio if you are taking Anat 2, right? Just let the scientist in you take over. You will get used to the smell, too. The first thing I ever dissected was a sheep brain and I thought I would never be able to do it. After the first day, I was totally eager to see more.

Just try to focus on how much you can learn from the process.

That's not too bad aside from the smell. Somehow we all get through it. If you can get past looking at it's little face. Just don't be too shocked if you have to do a sheep's eye. Now that's when it gets gross....
